Alfred showed up early and jumped right into replacing the air filters and rear rotors/brake pads. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend choosing Alfred as a mechanic for your car service needs. I will definitely contact him again for my next round of service needs.
Alfred knows what he's doing and did an excellent job on my car. He is the BEST! I would definitely choose him again in the future.

Need to be more gentle on the car parts during service, reset the computer service indicator, and dispose the oil eco friendly way. Patients.
Fantastic Job! He was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He came to me and it took less than an hour. I would have had to drop the car off or wait for hours anywhere else. Well worth it. I will definitely use this service again.

Michael B. returned for all services he’d recommended the day before. He finished up everything in under 3 hours: changed front brake pads, changed both the air filter & cabin air filter, did transmission service, replaced the stabilizer bar link, power steering fluid service, adjusted the drum breaks....all for $520! I went to my regular, “corporation” mechanic for a written price quote prior to our appointment so I could know exactly how much I was saving. They would have cost me $400 more, kept the car for a day or two, not to mention the inconvenience of traveling to get there and waiting in line. But, that not the only way Michael B. helped us today. He was also able to secure a last minute appointment for services not provided by YM. He got us in for 2 tires and an alignment later the same day elsewhere! My daughter was able to leave town with her car fully repaired. She’ll make it to work tomorrow thanks to Michael B :)

Cabin Air Filter Replacement Service

What is the Cabin Air Filter all about?

When you turn on the heat or air conditioner, the air that you get from the car vents originates from outside the car. The cabin air filter cleans the air before passing it through the heating or air conditioning system.

Cabin Filter

Keep in mind:

The cabin air filter is different from the air filter. The job of the air filter is to clean the air that goes into the engine to burn fuel. The job of the cabin air filter is to clean the air that you get from the vents inside the car. You may have more than one cabin air filter.

How it's done:

  • Remove and replace the cabin air filter(s)
  • Clean out all the debris from the compartment if needed.

Our recommendation:

Follow the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule and change the cabin air filter as recommended. If you regularly park your car under a tree or near bushes, the cabin air filter(s) will likely suck up debris and leaves, becoming dirtier, faster.

What common symptoms indicate you may need to replace the Cabin Air Filter?

  • Airflow from the AC vents is low or weak.

How important is this service?

When you turn on the heat, fan, or air conditioning in your vehicle, the air that enters the cabin is taken from outside the car. Before passing through your vents it first goes through the cabin air filter, which captures much of the dust, dirt, and harmful pollutants in the air. A functioning cabin air filter assures that the air coming through your vents is clean. When the cabin air filter stops working, the air that enters your vents is unfiltered and can be harmful to breathe. A dirty cabin air filter also obstructs the flow of air to the vents, which will lower the power of your heating or air conditioning system.
