Peter was very helpful and answered all of my questions about my van. I needed a second opinion about some work I had done at the dealership and he confirmed what the issues were (and weren't). I waited too late to make my appointment for the actual service, so now I've got that appointment tomorrow. For some work I would've paid $1,100 for at the dealership I only have to pay $120 and Chet (the mechanic doing the service) is coming to me! Thank God for YourMechanic.com!

David was prompt and knew what he was doing. He quickly assessed that an unknown problem existed that would need to be repaired before the scheduled items could be properly installed. He promised to get the part and return the next day. Although the repair proved to be difficult, he was determined to get it done and done correctly, which he did. He was professional and knows cars. I would definitely recommend him for your automotive repairs. It's nice that this service comes to you.

Andy did a great job. Was prompt and actually called and offered to come earlier which I appreciated. I had my car diagnosed at Burnett Automotive but their quote was very expensive Andy quickly diagnosed the problem which was NOT what Burnett said it would be. Andy saved me unnecessary work on my car. I will definitely use Andy and yourmechanic.com in the future!

All about Engine or Transmission Mount Replacement

An engine mount, made of rubber and steel, has two purposes. One, it secures the engine and transmission to the frame of the car, and two, it absorbs the road shocks and engine vibrations so that the driver does not feel any engine movement. Transmission mounts secure the transmission. Most cars have multiple engine and transmission mounts. If one of the mounts breaks, you will feel significant engine movement (vibrations and/or shaking).
