Blake came to replace a starter for me, on a very cold evening. He worked efficiently under some challenging conditions of both frigid cold and wind, and only moderate light. He maintained a really positive attitude, and I would recommend his services completely. He inspected assorted check points, going over with me the areas that I should get looked at soon when I return from my trip. He also answered inquiries that I had about areas in my engine area. Exceptional service!

Brilliant guy, He arrived promptly and fixed the car quickly and accurately at the price quoted. He was a very nice person, friendly and helpful and I was very pleased with his work, I will definitely book him again, if I have more car problems, in the future...the entire job, cost less, than a one way tow, to the local garage and was so convenient!..Win/win!

All about Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement

The camshaft position sensor monitors the position of the camshaft and reports that data to the car’s onboard computer system. This computer system works with sensors and other devices to keep the engine running. With data from the camshaft position sensor (CPS), the fuel injectors know when to fire. When the sensor malfunctions, the computer does not know when to fire the injectors and may not fire them at all. The faulty readouts may also throw off spark timing, which will affect the car’s fuel economy. This sensor is used in conjunction with the crankshaft position sensor to control ignition timing. It is common for heat and oil leaks to cause this sensor to fail, due to where the sensor is located.
