Warped brake disks or drums

Brake disks or drums provide a surface for the brake pads to grip onto when the brakes are applied in order to stop the car. If the rotor or drum is warped in any way, then the friction provided to the brake pads is intermittent. This intermittent friction can cause vibrations and often sounds like the brake is slipping on the disk. Vibration that occurs only during braking is an indicator that this is the problem.

Unbalanced wheels

In order to rotate smoothly and evenly, wheels must be properly balanced. If something happens to the wheel or tire that disrupts the distribution of weight, violent shakes and vibrations can occur. If the vibration occurs consistently around a certain speed, then this is likely the issue.

I swapped car with my daughter to put new winter tires on hers (I always use steel spiked winter tires here in Sweden). That hub was hot after driving it and some noise.On the V70 my reasoning was that if one was warn out, the other one would not last much longer so I changed the both of them.Can I be sure that this really is a faultering bearing on the Seat?
