Lucas
12 years of experience
(see previous review) Lucas came back to my house to re-replace a part: he discovered a more updated version of the ignition coil existed. He arrived early, replaced the part quickly, and gave me a verbal run-down of all of the work done on my car (and what to expect into the future). Officially making him my personal mechanic from here on out!

Russell

Russell went out of his way to assist me with my car when it wouldn't start for me. He called to confirm our appointment and to ask if he could come early. When my car started right away, he still gave me a jump to gauge the battery power level and suggested I bring my car back to the dealer for further servicing since it was still under warranty. Didn't try to pressure me into anything I didn't need. Great service.

Norman arrived in a timely manner and was very thorough in his diagnosis. It only took minutes before finding the cause of the coolant leak. More time was spent on other inspections and recommended services. His overall expertise and professionalism was very much appreciated. Went above and beyond expectations. Booking the repair as we speak. Will be advertising Norman as a preferred mechanic a monster friends and peers.

All about Ignition Coil Replacement

Ignition coils transform low voltage electrical power 12 volts D.C. to high voltage current 50,000 volts D.C. or higher. The spark generated by the ignition coil ignites the fuel and air mixture in the engine that enables the car to start and run smoothly. If an ignition coil is not working properly, no spark will ignite the air fuel mixture, causing a misfire. A bad ignition coil can severely damage the engine or catalytic converter. If your car is equipped with “coil over plugs,” then it is recommended that you replace the spark plugs. If your car uses a single coil for the ignition system, it is not necessary to change the spark plugs.
