Joseph had a tough day, I think. But he never let it show. The fuel pump on my car went out. Not a cheap, nor easy, fix. Although Joe had been delayed by the job previous to mine, he was sure to call and let me know about the delay and when he would arrive. My appointment was at 1:00 PM and Joe arrived at 1:20 PM. To be honest, technically, he was on time. YourMechanic makes it clear that you should allow for a half hour window from your set appointment time in which to allow your assigned mechanic to reach you and start the job. People need to understand and have patience that with a mechanic like Joseph in such high demand, he has a busy schedule. I should know, I waited five days to get him around to the major fix on my car. With that kind of demand and being a mobile mechanic, issues arise. I felt really bad because of an issue with my repair that caused Joe to be delayed for two additional appointments. It turns out, as Joe was working on replacing my fuel pump, the new fuel pump given to him by his parts distributor was the wrong one. OH NO! Joe knocks on my door and explains what has happened and the delay could cost an hour. I really empathized with his situation about the oversight by the parts distributor. It turns out that the part in question was apparently labeled as the right part through their ordering system, but the actual part was not correct. Had this not happened, Joe would have been ahead of schedule. I bring this up because it's important to give appreciation and understanding in situations like this and realize sometimes things don't go according to plan. I certainly don't blame Joe, nor the previous customer, that delayed him from getting to me at the "set" appointment time. So I would hope the other customers would show the same respect. Joe did a phenomenal job. He was done and wrapped up just before 5:00 PM. I was happy for that. I didn't want him to be working in the dark on my street. Sadly, I don't have a garage like most people do. So when I had this car towed home, we had to drop it in the street; as it was the safest and most convenient way to get it off the tow truck. In the end, I'm happy with what Joe accomplished, his communication and his friendly attitude and quick turnaround when dealing with the wrong part. I honestly want no one but Joseph from YourMechanic working on my car. Like, fer realz.
