Jose is THE MAN! He showed up about 30 minutes early, ready to work. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I always ask a lot of questions for my own knowledge. He got under the hood, moved a few things around, cut a hose or two, then VOILA! Done. No more than 30 mins.. Great service!

Robert

My car was refusing to start. I decided to use Yourmechanic and Robert was the mechanic. He performed several tests, explaining all of them to me. Nothing seemed wrong with my car, and Robert had a hint that I could have bad gas in my tank. He was eventually able to start my car and other than some rough idling, it seems to be working fine. He performed an inspection of my car and suggested some things to keep an eye on. The overall experience was really good.

All about Differential/Gear Oil Replacement

Differential oil is a type of oil. Cars have a gearbox connecting the two axles. This gearbox is responsible for the conversion of engine power and its transmission to the wheels, allowing them to turn at varying speeds. This part of the car is called the differential, and lubrication is needed for it to function properly. Differential fluid, also called differential oil, provides the lubrication and cooling of the car’s differential. The fluid is there to protect the gears’ metal surfaces from friction, and to prevent overheating and burning.
