Can you tell us more about what you do at YourMechanic?

I am a Product Marketing and Communications Specialist here at YourMechanic. I handle all mechanic communications, such as newsletters, social media posts, policy changes, and feature releases. I focus on offering structure and guidance to mechanics while they are repairing cars. I recently turned my attention to our new mechanic on-boarding program called YourMechanic JumpStart.

Why did you join YourMechanic?

I originally joined YourMechanic as a Customer Support Agent. I took the job to support myself while in college. But, as I began to learn more about business structure, I fell in love with the hustle of startup culture. Now three years later, I am still here helping lead disruption in the automotive industry.

What was your first car and what do you love or hate about it?

My first car was a white 1998 Saturn SL2, and I genuinely miss it. My current car has more bells and whistles, but I would trade it all not to have a car payment.

What are you passionate about?

The list of what I am passionate about grows as I grow as a person. Right now, I am excited about removing the stigma of mental health from the black community.

What’s your favorite place you’ve ever visited and why?

My favorite place that I have visited is San Sebastian, Spain because it is so beautiful. It is a small city surrounded by water and filled with fantastic food, Spanish culture, and great hiking trails.
