Meet the Team: Norman McAnulty

Norman is a Parts Advisor at YourMechanic. He is passionate about dragons and wanted to work with killer whales as a child.

Can you tell us more about what you do at YourMechanic?

I am currently working on learning all the necessary duties for a Parts Advisor position.

What was your first car and what do you love or hate about it?

My first car was a Ford Maverick. I loved it because it was my very first car! Unfortunately, I couldn't drive it; it was beyond my ability to fix it.

What’s your dream car?

My dream car is a 1962 Volkswagen bus 13-window.

What one accomplishment are you most proud of?

I've successfully started a business in 2009 and still running it to this day.

Who has had the most influence on you growing up?

My Step-father had the most influence on me. He said: always be responsible for your actions, and always do your best and never give up.

What are you passionate about?

Dragons!

What keeps you motivated?

To work towards my goal and to know, I will accomplish my goal as long as I don't quit.

What do you like to do when you’re not at work?

I like to work in my shop, drive my car in fun places, and of course go to the beach.

What kind of music do you like to listen to?

In my workshop, I like to listen to instrumental music. In the car, I usually listen to techno.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grow up?

Behavioral Biologist. I wanted to work with killer whales.

What’s your secret talent that no one knows about?

I can work a sewing machine. :)

How do you like your eggs and why?

I like it done, like an egg salad, it's addicting.

Do you collect anything? If so, what is it?

I collect everything related to dragons for example figurines, posters, books, movies, and tattoos.
