Q: How often should change my gas cap?

asked by on October 07, 2016

How often should I change my gas cap on a 2003 Impala with 72000 miles to pass the emission test?
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hi, thanks for writing in. There is no real recommended replacement interval for gas caps. They are one of those "use it until it fails" parts. If you feel your gas cap may be going bad, then it may be a good idea to replace it.
