Your car just discovered a brand new clicking sound every single time your car makes a turn. Is it dangerous? Not if you handle it the right way. In most of today’s vehicles, this clicking sound is a healthy warning that your car may need some minor suspension work.

Common reasons for this to happen:

Torn CV Boot

Your CV boot can get gradually torn or wear out over the course of time.

Worn CV Joint

The internal lubricants that protect the sensitive metals within the boot will lose their lubrication and begin to run dry, resulting in metal-to-metal contact.

Other Nearby Parts Are Damaged

Your driveshaft, wheels, and tires can all make similar unusual sounds if they get damaged.

What to expect:

A top-rated mobile mechanic will come to your home or office to determine the source and cause of the clicking noise, and will then provide a detailed inspection report that includes the scope and cost of the necessary repairs.

How it's done:

The mechanic will inspect the CV joints as well as the other nearby components of your front suspension system.

How important is this service?

This can become a big issue if you ignore it. The question is whether you’re able to discover this minor issue, and have it repaired, before it becomes a major one. Book a mechanic for a thorough diagnosis of the clicking noise as soon as possible.

GMC Envoy L6-4.2L - Check Engine Light is on - Atlanta, Georgia
Disappointed in this experience after a great prior experience with Your Mechanic. Mahdi was able to tell me why my check engine light was on and offer suggestions on repairs, but I never received a full report on the four check engine light codes. So, while it was helpful that he ran diagnostics and got me started towards repairs (which he explained how to complete), I don't have the codes to get anything further done. After I complete the first two issues he told me about, I don't know what the final two codes are. He told me I had to do the work in order. He also provided me with a personal business card, but an email to him requesting the codes was never returned. Numerous emails to Your Mechanic regarding this issue were also not returned. He did help with a minor headlight issue which was greatly appreciated.

This was my first time using this app. Honesty and thorough work is a miss with auto repair shops. Stephen was on time (5 mins early) which is huge in my book. He finished faster than the quoted time and refunded us the time from the original quote and his work was thorough. He showed me all the old parts and let me know of any concerns. I am highly satisfied and will definitely use him again.
