by Peter from Salt Lake City, UT 84121

Joseph was punctual, despite having to pick up specially requested parts, gave the vehicle a thorough evaluation and replaced both the main battery and accessory batter in a total of 45 minutes. I was able to get important work done at home and didn't need to waste time at my local shop or the "stealer" -- super valuable! I would recommend Joseph with no reservations. I plan on using him again for future services.

No complaints really with Benjamin, He notified me prior to the appt to be running late due to a part mix-up with the customer before me which is always appreciated as we all know it's better than to be left in the dark. Upon his arrival I explained the overheating issue & my suspecting t-stat & then let him at it. Short time later He'd knocked at door to show me t-stat he'd removed & explained while moving part how it works & what it wasn't doing correctly which I liked. He'd replaced t-stat & coolant & found to be running back at normal temp & said if to overheat wait til it cools & check coolant level which later it did overheat & coolant was low, topped off & still running higher than half gauge & need to have him come back to check it out as really in desperate need for car.

Hi thanks for the question, problems like this can be as hard to diagnose as they are to live with. It sounds like you may have some intermittent electrical issue. This will require a skilled technician that has the knowhow...
Ignition tumbler stuck and needs replacement.
Answered by Andrew
The tumblers are part of the ignition switch assembly on these vehicles. This part must be replaced as a unit. This particular part malfunctioning is a common problem on late 1990's Mercedes Benz products. Have a mechanic who is familiar...
Key won't turn in 1996 Mercedes-Benz E320
Answered by Andrew
If the key wont turn normally try to jerk the steering wheel side to side while turning the key. If this does not free up the ignition then the ignition switch is likely the cause. When tumblers inside the ignition...
I need to fix an engine light indicator problem.
Answered by Andrew
A Check Engine Light could mean hundreds of different things. The first thing I would recommend is to have a qualified professional inspect the Check Engine Light (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/check-engine-light-is-on-inspection), they will use an OBD2 code reader to find which code has...
