Your car’s odometer does one thing – it shows you the mileage on the engine. This number cannot be changed. In fact, it’s against the law to tamper with your odometer. There are two trip odometers available that can be changed, though. These let you measure distance for individual trips. You can control them by using the select/reset knob located below the speedometer. Press the knob to cycle from the odometer to the first trip odometer and then the second one. Press and hold it to reset one of the trip odometer readings.
