Coming from top front under hood of my vw cc Mechanic's Assistant: What is the model/year of your VW? 2011 The consistency of was that of water Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? Hello and thanks for your question. My name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I will do all I can to help.

ThanksWhat do you think it is that broke off
Automotive Expert
It is most likely a washer fluid line it sounds like if you were installing headlights. Can you check and see if the washer fluid still works, squirt it for 20 to 30 seconds or so, and then see if any leaks up under it in the front.

Ok give me a sec.. the hose that broke was toward the front of the vehicle coming from the radiator areaTraveling to the engine areaBut I'll try

I believe that CC may have headlamp washers if it's loaded.

Not loaded. Its sport but not loaded. i just bought it used and trying to fix her upDid something so stupifStupidThe fluid was orangish brownish . My windshield fluid is clear or blueNo leak after windshield wipers were activated

It happens, no worries, OK, I've seen it in all different colors, but if yours is blue, then it's possible it may be antifreeze. Can you upload a picture of it by chance? also, was it a hard piece of plastic that broke in the line?

One second

Alright, yes, that is antifreeze, that plastic nipple that sticks off the coolant pipe gets hard and brittle over time. And it does tend to break easy, it will need that pipe, and you can pry the old piece out of the rubber line and use the rubber line over, but not the plastic nipple part, it will have to be replaced.

Okay great thanks what the actual part called I need to look for ?
Automotive Expert
Your part that you need will look at lot like this.

Lol i dont want to search for plastic nipple part lolAlso will that fluid damage anything it got on ? If so how can I clean itSorry for the many questions
Automotive Expert
You can just hose it off with some soapy water and it won't hurt anything. You'll have to replace the nipple!! You could stick a screw in the broke part and drive it somewhere close in my opinion. Just keep an eye on the temp. gauge. and put something like a screw in the hose part as well. it's overflow is what it is, it will still have plenty of coolant in the radiator to drive it , provided you plug up the holes.

Okay got it. I really appreciate it
Automotive Expert
Absolutely, Thank you and best of luck with it !
