Q: Undercoat to prevent rust

asked by on October 10, 2016

Have a 1997 lincoln town car, in the last year the lower half of the body has had new metal fabricated due to rust, should I spend the money to undercoat the car, would like the car to last awhile and have the harsh Buffalo NY winters?

Anything to cut off or slow the corrosion will help but may also cover damage from existing damage. The cost of undercoating is up to you, but it may not be worth it depending on how much you are being quoted for the job since the vehicle is a bit older.
