I just had the computer fixed in my car now the engine light is on had the code read Mechanic's Assistant: Has your vehicle stalled? Has anyone run a diagnostic test to pull the trouble code? Before i had the computer fixed it was reading exhaust camshaft sensor i got the computer fixed and it is s still reading exhaust camshaft sensor again Mechanic's Assistant: What is the make/model/year of your car? 2008 saturn vue xe Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Vue yourself? What have you tried so far? No i had a shop fixed the exhaust camshaft sensor before i replaced the computer

i called twice and got voicemail. i suspect that we replaced the computer for no reason, depending on what code has set exactly we would have needed to test the wiring between the computer and the sensor first and then also verify timing if it was a camshaft related code. If this was not done i recommend we do it now but i suspect we replaced that computer for no reason.

we wont know until further diagnostics are done. like i mentioned i believe you replaced the computer without it being needed unfortunately and your issue will either be wiring related or an engine timing fault if its a camshaft related code. we would need to inspect the wiring between the computer and that camshaft sensor and then also verify that timing is correct as well
