Q: Power steering doesn't work

asked by on February 08, 2016

My power steering doesn't work.

The power steering in your car is electric. There is computer and an electric motor bolted to the steering column. If there is any malfunction, the computer will need to be scanned for codes to begin the diagnostics. There is an 80 amp fuse in the engine compartment fuse box labeled EPS for this system. That is all you can check without a scan tool. If you need assistance, I would enlist the help of a certified mechanic to inspect your steering and recommend a repair.
