Q: PLEASE REPLY
We have dropped a plastic tupe, almost 10cm into the cap where we put diesel. Can the car perform issues. We tried to get diesel out of the cap. Can the motor get any issues??
It is difficult to predict. If it winds up in the fuel tank, it can just float around harmlessly. OR.. It can get caught up in the fuel level sensor and cause the float to hang up and give incorrect fuel level readings. Worst case, it can also block the fuel pick up in the tank, causing incorrect fuel flow to the engine. The best thing to do would be to get it out if possible. It may require removing the fuel tank.
