You were probably right to change the plugs and coils, they needed to be ruled out. But since you’re not getting codes for a specific cylinder, your problem is probably a little more subtle. You might be having a problem with a lean miss caused by a vacuum leak or even contamination in the fuel. Look for vacuum hoses or rubber boots that are broken, disconnected, or in bad condition. Fuel can be checked by taking a sample and watching it to see if anything settles out. Anything more complicated is going to take special equipment and know how. If you contact YourMechanic, you can have a technician come out to your home or office to check out your truck and let you know what it will take to solve your problem.
