You haven’t said whether it can be restarted and driven, so I don’t have a lot to go on. But one thing you can easily check for is vacuum leaks. Any air that gets into the engine without going through proper channels will lean out the system and cause problems like this. Look under the hood for any hoses or rubber boots that are disconnected or in bad condition. If the check engine light isn’t on, it probably should be. Repeated stalling is very likely to trigger trouble codes that would light up the CEL and be stored in the cars memory for access with a scanner. Your best bet is to have somebody look at your car and check it for codes that will help pin down the trouble. Contact YourMechanic to have a technician come out to your home or office to check out your Nissan and let you know what is your best next step.

car starst fine but as soon as you put in gear it shuts off what would cause this problem

I just had a water pump put in 2 weeks ago, now the fan belt is squealing and the water gauge is jumping around.
The fan belt squealing may simply be related to the belt just needing to be adjusted or lubed with some belt dressing. Your temperature gauge jumping around is a cause for concern and may or may not be related to...
Brake pedal feels mushy & goes almost to floor.

Hi there. You might want to watch this video on removing the spark plugs (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqO8wuz5XUc) on a Dodge V-6 3.6 liter engine. Although this car is different, your Journey has the same exact engine configuration. The random misfire of 1,...
Does the alternator and starter work together
No, they do not work together. The starter motor relies solely on stored energy in the battery to function. It is only after the engine actually starts and runs that the alternator can provide power to vehicle systems as well...
I have a 08 ford focus, its super cold and it tries to turn over but ultimately won't, the battery is giving me 12.3 volts.
When the weather gets cold, I replace a lot of batteries. If your battery is marginal, it will work just fine until the temperature drops, then it won't have enough reserve to do the trick.Testing it with a voltmeter won't...
