When you turn the key to the run or start position, the immobilizer warning light on the dash will typically illuminate briefly as a bulb or system check. Once the vehicle starts the immobilizer light, and all other warning lights, will turn off unless there is a problem. If the vehicle is not starting, be sure the immobilizer is not activated. If the immobilizer is not activated, and the problem is simply no starter motor operation the fault is typically quite limited. With a fully charged battery that passes a load test, or a new fully charged battery as required, and the immobilizer (security) system off, if the starter motor does not operate (i.e., crank the engine at adequate RPM) at that point, either there is no power to the starter motor/solenoid or the starter/solenoid itself is bad and that includes intermittent operation which does happen. If your car is not starting, or you are concerned about a possible malfunction, please request a no start diagnostic. If the starter is working normally, but the engine does not catch and run, the latter diagnostic would be the appropriate one to request as well. If you have further questions or concerns, do not hesitate to re-contact YourMechanic as we are always here to help you.

Problem with transmission linkage
The linkage for the gear selector is located inside the steering column. Over time, continuous usage of any mechanical part will cause wear and tear, and eventually failed components. An inspection of your transmission (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/not-able-to-change-gears-inspection) should be carried out by...

Air conditioning clutch is not engaging unless I bypass the relay.
It does sound like an issue with the pressure switch (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/ac-pressure-switch-replacement). When the switch fails, the compressor will not come on. Bypassing it turns on the compressor, which changes the pressure and allows the system to work. I would also...
Why does the reduced power light flash when I try to start my vehicle in the morning after sitting overnight?
It sounds like your engine needs a "tune up". This typically means new oil, oil filter, spark plugs (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/spark-plugs-replacement), spark plug wires, fuel filter, fuel pump if needed, new battery, new air filter, and a few other components if need...
Key is stuck in ignition so i think its causing the battery to keep going dead

Cold idle

Leaking fluid AND sometimes won't start right away.
Hi there. Typically a 'coolant leak' and a hard starting problem is not related. However, coolant should be mixed at a ratio of 50 percent coolant and 50 percent distilled water. Adding water instead can thin the mix, crack the...
Very low fuel efficiency
Your mileage is low compared to the EPA rating. Your vehicle was sold with a 3 yr/36,000 mi basic, 5 yr/60,000 mi powertrain warranty. In the event that there is an engine or transmission problem that accounts for the low...
While driving, after slowing down, not often but sometimes, when I press on the gas, car doesn't accelerate but RMPs go up. Why?
If engine RPM's are increasing, but there is no corresponding forward movement or acceleration, the transmission is slipping. That slippage can be caused by faults in the transmission clutches but underlying that fault could be hydraulic control system faults. A...
