Hi! My name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I will be able to assist you. I’m sorry that you’re having trouble with your vehicle. Don’t worry though, we’ll be able to figure this out. Please understand that I do not know your knowledge or capabilities so I may need to ask questions to find out basic information to help solve your specific problem. With most newer automobiles, they have sophisticated electrical systems that can rely on different computers or modules to keep everything operating correctly. Most of the time specialized equipment is needed to test these systems. If you do not have this type of equipment for testing then we can only guess what the problem is. Yes there are common failures for certain symptoms but without testing, there’s no way to determine the specific problem unless testing is done. Who do I have the pleasure of speaking with today? My goal is to give you the best service possible and to help you. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let me know. Sometimes it may take a moment for me to respond because I may have to look up information about your concern. I appreciate your patience and will provide responses as soon as possible. The system will give you an automated phone call offer to speak to one of us on the phone **. It is optional.** Some folks prefer to talk on the phone. If you don’t, please ignore it as I cannot control the offer from popping up. Removing the was is not necessary because waxes only last about 2 weeks on any painted metal surface. If you use a good car wash soap such as Meguiar's then it will remove any wax residue. Make sure you use a good cleaning cloth or mitt. It can either be cotton or microfiber. This will clean the car good so you can wax it. If you have any swirls or scratches than I would get it buffed out before waxing or polishing. My goal is to earn a 5 star rating experience. Any questions you have about this concern, please feel free to reply back to me. If I’m not online at the time, I will respond ASAP when I get back.

then it seems I should not compound the car. FYI this car had never been in any accident and paint is original.

When you say compound what specifically are you referring to? Do you mean rubbing compound?

please answer my question only in writing please

I am. I asked you some questions and would need your reply. When you say compound what specifically are you referring to? Do you mean rubbing compound?

the way you are suggesting is to wash, dry the car, buff the car and the wax, is that right?
Automotive Expert
Only buff it if it's needed for fine scratches. If you don't have any scratches then no buffing is needed.

thank you
Automotive Expert
You're very welcome.
