I am a shop foreman at a Jeep dealer and whenever I see this issue you are having it is almost always a problem with the electronic throttle body and replacing it takes care of it. It may be something else like wiring or connector at the throttle body, but the mechanic will be able to determine this. Chris

What is the reason for this to happen?it was working completely fine till when i took it to work and when coming back this happened.is there anything that i can do to avoid this from happening again?

Nothing you did or did not do is related to this problem. The gears / motor in the throttle body just get worn out sometimes. Chris
