Q: How does the blind spot monitor work?

How does the blind spot monitor work?

The Blind Spot Monitor or BSM helps protect you when you switch lanes. Press the main switch located on the left side of the dashboard. This turns the system on or off. When a vehicle comes in the blind spot and the system is turned on, the indicator on the outside rear view mirror lights up. The light flashes if you turn on the signal light when there is a vehicle in the blind spot.

Tip

The Blind Spot Monitor works when the vehicle is going at least 25 miles per hour.
