Truck won't start

Try swapping the [starter](/topics-starter-ford/) relay, (number two in this diagram) with relay from number 3 4 5 or 6. See if that helps, if it does not, then if you are familiar with jumping a relay, you can jump the relay from 3 to 5 (or 87 to 30) down in the relay socket, it should crank then with a good battery, if it does not, then it's probably the starter motor itself that is failing. Try holding the key in START position with the relay in and tap on it with a hammer if you have somebody that can help inside the truck as you tap on the starter. Or run a wire directly to the starter signal wire from the positive bat. terminal. If it cranks then, and still doesn't crank with the key, then check codes next.
