awd and the hubs replacement seemed smoothI did notice that the axle going into the diff on the drive side was leaking

it sounds like maybe one of the axles is out of joint, or if you got a low cost hub they can be bad out of the box, you def want to check the fluid, at this point what you would need to do is get the vehicle up on jack stands and have a helper accelerate it while you probe for the noise.
