Q: Cruise control does not work - 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

asked by on November 01, 2016

my cruise control do not on my 2011 chvey silverda
My car has an automatic transmission.

There could be several reason for this. Check the fuse for the cruise control. If you have an ABS Brake Light on (or any ABS problem codes set), a failed wheel speed sensor could cause cruise control to not work properly, since cruise control uses wheel speed sensor data.

To avoid any unnecessary repairs, I would recommend having a cruise control inspection completed by a mobile, professional mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, to diagnose this problem, get an accurate assessment of damage and cost estimate for repairs.

This could be due to a breakdown in your differential oil (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-bad-or-failing-differential-gear-oil). Engine sluggish, hesitates during accleration

Oil relief valve issue shortly after oil was changed

When I turn to the right no matter how fast im going i hear and feel a popping noise in the steering column, not the front of car. 2003 Toyota Avalon
Hello - this is a bit unusual, although there is at least one flexible steering coupling (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-flex-coupling-steering-damper) in the column that could cause this behavior. And, if your car has the "telescoping steering wheel" option (the steering wheel can be...
