Hi there, Sorry to hear about all your car troubles. My Name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I am an ASE Master Tech here to assist you with your vehicle. Please understand I am not there with you, But I am here to help. Any information about what is going on is greatly appreciated. The system will ask for a phone call, Please let me know if you want this option as I am not always available to do so. Be aware that I am assisting many customers at the same time and will get back to you as quickly as I can but I cannot get answers immediately as I am not a computer. I like to research each answer before I get back to you to ensure that I give out the correct info. Thank you for understanding. What are you referencing when you say cooling mode? Does the [engine](/topics-engine-chevy/) temp rise and does the engine overheat?

Were it tell you what wrong with your car andvyes engine temperature rise I think it was over heated

If the engine has over heated this would indicate 1 of 3 things going on. Being that it told you to top off coolant this would indicate you have a leak. This may be internal(not good) or external. You will want to first look under the vehicle for coolant and if any then proceed with a cooling system pressure test. Most auto parts will rent this tool. If there is a leak in the cooling system it can cause the engine to be low on fluid and read overheat when the sensor hits a air pocket. If no leaks are seen external but you are loosing coolant this would indicate a internal leak, aka a faulty [head gasket](/topics-head-gasket-chevy/). If the engine has overheated this can also warp the block causing a head gasket failure and on every car or truck I get with an overheat this is my first test. To test for this most auto parts stores will sell you a block tester. Most shops can also do this test for you for around the same price as the tool. So if you do not plan on doing this in the future then it may be worth your while to just take the vehicle in. If no leaks internal or external are found this would indicate a faulty thermostat. This will open and close the loop of coolant going in/out of the block at a desired temp. If this is faulty it can be stuck closed and keeping the hot coolant trapped in the block and cause an overheat. For any cooling system failure I will almost always do a flush and replace the thermostat. This is just standard practice just like replacing [spark plug](/topics-spark-plug-chevy/) wires when doing spark plugs. I always shoot for a 5 start review. If you have any other questions or in need of any other help, please let me know. If you think my answer was not that of a 5 star rating please let me know what I can do to assist you further. I want to answer all concerns that you have about this issue. Tips are not required but greatly appreciated, I work hard to give you the best answer and appreciate the extra thank you on your side. Thank you for understanding and thank you for using Just Answer!

I forget to tell you I dont have any heat in the car

This can be caused by the air pocket with the cooling system failure. You will first want to diagnose the coolant leak or fault before digging into the faulty heat inside of the vehicle.

It sounds like you are experiencing a lean condition and engine pinging. The most common fault I have seen for this is when the mass air sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-mass-airflow-sensor) causes the engine to go too lean. When you look at the...

Hello. I would usually start by scanning the computer for codes (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-read-and-understand-check-engine-light-codes-by-jason-unrau). This would tell me if the computer is seeing anything out of the ordinary. If there are no codes, then I monitor the output of the sensors as...
