Sometimes it may take a moment for me to respond because I may have to look up information about your concern. I appreciate your patience and will provide responses as soon as possible. Most likely there is a failure in the throttle control system. The only thing you can do and you may have to do it a few times to get home if it is a hard failure and goes back into fail safe mode after a few miles of driving is to remove the negative battery cable from the battery for 10 minutes to reset all control modules including for the throttle system. After 10 minutes, reconnect and see if it will accelerate now. It will need to be scanned for fault codes to determine the failure for a proper repair to be made to prevent this from happening again Thanks for using Just Answer and letting me help you. I hope I provided what you needed. If you find more help is still needed, let me know by listing out any remaining questions you have on this concern. I hope the remainder of your day is well.
