Q: Air conditioning and heating not working after accident

asked by on October 20, 2016

Hi my air con and heating are not working in my car. I was involved in an accident last week (a car pulled out on me and I swerved and mounted the pavement) I heard a crunch but there was no visible damage to my car other than a small scratch to the alloy wheel. So I didn't take the other drivers insurance details. However now the ac and heater aren't working I am worried some damage was done to the underneath of the car. It would have been the front left of the car. Would this be where the ac/heater run from?? I just want peace of mind. I'm hoping not as I haven't had the car long and if it isn't due to the accident I should be covered under warranty.

Thanks for your help Laura

Battery dead in 2 days
Hello. Thanks for writing in about your 2007 Lexus LS460. If the battery is draining that fast you either have a faulty battery (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/battery-replacement) or a possible parasitic draw draining the battery down. Car is jerking forward when trying to come to a stop. Jerking started today after filling gas. Service engine soon light is on
Hi There, The check engine light (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/check-engine-light-is-on-inspection) is likely related to your gas cap not locking (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/gas-cap-won-t-click-or-tighten-inspection). This may also cause the jerking reaction as this is connected to the EVAP system in your car. Your car has a small...
