Socket, as in the lamp socket correct? Ok. I see on the internet another name called the “bulb socket”. Is this the same thing? Or different?

Ok thank you. and now I’d like to know more about my issue with the low beam headlight I mentioned earlier. I bought a new bulb but it still didn’t light up when it was in, and the old bulb didn’t look burned out.
