How to Get Jaguar Dealership Certified

Have you ever considered getting dealership certified? Doing so can only increase your job opportunities, make you more marketable, and show employers that you have the desire and the skill set that they are looking for. Below we will discuss how you can become certified to work on Jaguar vehicles. If you are an automotive mechanic who wants to improve and gain the skills and certifications that Audi dealerships, other service centers, and automotive technician jobs in general are searching for, you might consider getting Audi dealership certified.

Jaguar training and development

Jaguar training & development (JLR T&D) is for technicians interested in working on their products. JLT T&D offers online courses. Some of these courses are offered online and some are in the classroom. You will also receive hands-on training to help you improve your skills.

Training modules

JLR T&D offers several training modules. After completing these modules, you will

  • Efficiently meet your department’s goals and standards
  • Increase customer respect and loyalty
  • Quickly diagnose and repair your customers’ trucks to maximize their vehicle uptime
  • Exceed the demands of your customers
  • Become more efficient and knowledgeable when handling Jaguar customer concerns
  • Maximize service department profit

Additional training

At JLR T&D, you will receive additional training in:

  • HVAC
  • Engine repair
  • Brakes
  • Diesel engine performance
  • Electrical systems and electronics
  • Steering and suspension
  • Maintenance and inspection

Is going to school the right choice for me?

If you are unsure about whether school is the best choice for you, you should contact JLR T&D and speak with one of their skilled instructors. Like many training schools, JLR T&D offers several different types of courses, from online training modules to classroom instruction.

What Types of Classes Will I Take?

In JLR T&D, you will take classes on:

  • Drive Train/Transmission
  • Fuel and emissions basics
  • Steering and Suspension
  • Engine repair and maintenance
  • Air conditioning
  • Electrical fundamentals
  • Restraints
  • Brake system
  • Maintenance
  • Electrical advance

I-CAR

A company called I-CAR has begun to offer Jaguar Aluminum Repair Network training. In order to take this training, you will need to attend the I-CAR collision repair programs. Additionally, before entering the program, you will need to complete:

  • Welding training & certification: Steel GMA (MIG)
  • Welding (WCS03)
  • Measuring (MEA01)

Before you attend the JLR Aluminum Repair and Welding Course, you must complete:

  • Welding training & certification: Aluminum GMA (MIG)
  • Welding (WCA03)
  • Aluminum-Intensive vehicle repairs (ALI01)

However, if a Jaguar certified technician has already completed one or all of the above courses, he/she will not have to take it again. The required structural courses are for Jaguar certified structural technicians only.

Whether you want to learn more about Jaguar products for your own benefit or you would like to take your skill set to the next level, becoming a Jaguar certified technician would only benefit your career. As you probably know, competition in the automotive industry is fierce. Any time that you can add another skill set or learn more about a specific product, you will have an advantage on the competition.

So if you’re already a certified mechanic and you’re interested in working with YourMechanic, submit an online application for an opportunity to become a mobile mechanic.
