Fuel Injection Lines Replacement Service

What is the Fuel Injection Lines all about?

Fuel injection lines deliver fluid from your fuel tank to your fuel injectors, allowing them to reach your vehicle’s fuel intake system. They deliver fuel all the way from the fuel pump to the injectors themselves. If your engine isn’t getting enough fuel, your car will be difficult to start, if it starts at all.

Today, fuel injection lines are available as both gasoline and diesel lines. Gasoline lines are made of rubber, whereas diesel lines are made of metal.

Keep in mind:

  • Fuel line replacement is not a part of your routine maintenance.

  • If your fuel lines are leaking, a fire can result.

  • When one fuel injector line becomes defective, it is a good indication that the other lines won’t last much longer, so it’s best to replace all the lines in one setting.

  • The fuel lines are the most common sources of leaks in the fuel system.

How it's done:

  • The vehicle's hood is opened and battery is disconnected
  • The defective fuel lines are removed
  • The new fuel lines are installed
  • The battery is reconnected and fuel lines bled of air
  • The repair is verified and the fuel lines tested for leaks and proper operation

Our recommendation:

Leaky fuel injection lines will cause problems with your vehicle’s drivability. Leaky fuel lines can cause damage to other car components, like your radiator hoses. If you suspect that your fuel lines are leaking, or are experiencing any other problems with delivery of fuel to your engine, you should have one of our expert mechanics diagnose the problem and replace your leaking fuel injection lines if necessary.

What common symptoms indicate you may need to replace the Fuel Injection Lines?

  • Car won’t start
  • Car starts, then stalls
  • Raw fuel smell

How important is this service?

If your fuel lines are leaking, you run the risk of an engine fire and damage to other engine components. This is a critical safety issue, so if you suspect that your fuel lines are leaking, have them replaced as soon as possible.
