Brian was great. He actually had earlier availability and called to make sure I'd be home then. He explained everything to me, about the repair process as well as himself and his background and experience. The work was done in a very timely manor, and he was very friendly and professional. He did a great job, and would recommend him to anyone looking for a mechanic.
Brian was great. He was very professional and finished the job quickly with out any issues.

Peter....(THIS GUY) Is amazing.... both in the flesh and in spirit.......So my experience and interaction with Pete began about 2 weeks ago....This guy originally got called out to my address in Pasadena CA for a "car down" needing starter replacement service with an emphasis on hurry the - up. ANYHOW Peter was most gracious through my foolishness and came out early to replace my starter however... as Pete arrived...... he explained he couldn't service the car on the street and so we agreed to a later time. As i went to reschedule Pete, and as I looked deeper into my soul.... I realized it MAY NOT BE THE STARTER ..... SO I REBOOKED Pete, to come out and diagnose... the car.... yes... diag nose.... the car.... SO pete... Shows up and tells me its the Alternator....and works up the bill and coordinates the new time.... We reschedule and Pete installed that thing like NOTHING,.......LIKE F------G NOTHING!!!!! He IS an expert and I have so much to learn... not only about mechanics and internal combustion engines....but about tools and most importantly.... about PEOPLE..... Thank you Peter... For your help.... professionalism and response time to get my vehicle back out in the air... Making money bro.... Making f-----g money bro! My best to the Mrss. Your favorite customer.....L

I have never received such incredible service on this or any automobile that I have ever owned as I did today with Anthony. He arrived on time, he worked efficiently and thoroughly, was courteous and kind, was THE MOST knowledgeable about automobiles of any mechanic I have ever spoke to or had work done by. When he arrived, he asked for the key....I told him I would be just inside my place of business if he needed me or anything and he said, "Oh, no sir, you won't see me again until I am done with the work." And that is exactly what happened. This man is truly a gifted mechanic and a breath of fresh air with his outstanding customer service.

Alternator Repair Service

How does an alternator help your car run?

The alternator is the component that charges the battery in your car. When you use electrical components in your car (stereo, lights, etc.), the battery loses power. The alternator recharges the battery, replenishing the lost battery power. The alternator is located in the engine compartment. If the alternator is not working properly, your car will only stay running for as long as the battery has power stored. Once the battery loses power, your car will not start. Normally, a malfunctioning alternator will turn on the battery warning light or will have a low volt gauge reading.

Alternator

Before repairing the alternator:

The mechanic should check the entire charging system before installing a new alternator, including checking battery cables for corrosion and the condition of the battery.

Steps when replacing an alternator:

  • Inspect entire charging system (battery, cables, alternator).
  • Inspect the drive belts.
  • Test alternator output.
  • Remove and replace alternator if found to be faulty.
  • Re-test alternator output.

Our recommendation for alternator replacements:

Ask your mechanic to inspect the condition of the charging system during every major service. The mechanic should also clean and tighten the battery cables during every major service.

What common symptoms indicate you may need to replace the Alternator?

  • Dead battery or battery will not hold a charge.
  • Dim lights.
  • Battery warning light is on.

Why repairing your alternator is important:

Your alternator charges your battery, which powers the electronics in your vehicle, such as the radio and the air conditioning. The battery is also needed to turn on your vehicle. A malfunctioning alternator will not charge your car’s battery, and your vehicle will eventually run out of battery life and not be able to start.
