Chris replaced my starter but he failed to drive my car HIMSELF to make sure that everything was ALL okay. Minutes after me tipping him $10 and hI'm replacing my Starter, my check engine light and Battery light came on. I've had this car for awhile now and NOT once has did ever happened. But I know that it was all linked together. I believe he forgot to reset something on my honda. Now Your Mechanic is making me pay to have there guys come back out there because my car completes died out on the Highway last night which was the same day there mechanic worked on my car. They aren't owning up to Chris mistake. As a 16yr exp. Mechanic, he should have known that YOU ALWAYS drive and double check your work, because that would have avoided this whole situation. And say it might have been something else (there is no way it is. This car is a 2005 accord with 105,000 miles only and all this ONLY happened after Chris replaced my starter. He also failed to mention to me that my radio is not working because he unhooked it because it needed a radio code. I called honda to get that and that's a theft issue, but as you can see that he is NOT thorough. If he would have driven my car after replacing the Starter, he could have found this issue and 2 things could have happened: 1- he up sell me to another job that's not relater which would be more money in his and the company's pockets or 2- he would have saw the issue and fixed it and I wouldn't have Almost died last night cause my car totally shut down on the highway turning off ALL of my lights including hazards. I couldn't even accelerate the vehicle. It all got shut down. That's why I am rating him a 1,because he's not owning up to his mistakes and now Your Mechanic is charging me $70 to have another mechanic diagnosis the car. And I couldn't go to work today and possibly tomorrow and Wednesday because they can only send a tech out to fix this tuesday, May 1st. Chris needs to ALWAYS DRIVE the customers car when replacing a part to make sure that everything is all good cause that protects himself and the customers and it allows Your Mechanic to up sell the customers to future jobs. I would have paid for them to fix it, if it was another issue but trust me, it's NOT. I know my car. Now if Chris owned up to it aND would come back out to fix his OWN issue, then this survey would be a different story. I am not happy at all. Take your car to a shop because there, they can fix everything and they got most parts there. These mechanics don't care parts with them so you would have to reschedule it for another day. Plus, I've noticed that on YM website, if you order a service that's low in cost and it's not worth the mechanics time, it will say that there are NO available appointments at this time. But as soon as you change it to a timing belt job for say, all of a sudden, they got tomorrow or today open which is garbage.
