Services by Kenneth Mitchell

Kenneth was sent out to replace the wrong color(tan) inside drivers side door latch that was previously installed in my (gray interior)Toyota camry by another mechanic with mechanics.com When he arrived and opened the replacement part, it was again the wrong color part. Kenneth immediately contacted headquarters and told them the situation. Apparently ordering the wrong parts is quite common! On Kenneth's insistance, corporate assured me that they would order for the third time and get the right part, but I would have to wait until the part could be ordered and they then would schedule a third installation time and install the right part! Corporate said it would take until the following week to schedule again. Kenneth apparently persuaded corporate to let him go get the right part immediately and he came right back and installed it correctly. Kenneth seemed more concerned with doing the right thing than anyone else at mechanics.com. I will never use their services again nor will I ever recommend them to anyone else!

Services by Dan Barber

I could not and would not recommend this service to anyone! I asked to have the driver's side interior door latch on my Toyota Camry replaced, Knowing that the part was the wrong color(tan) and my interior is (gray), without consulting with me first to see if that was ok, he installed it and only after it was installed did he tell me that it was the wrong color, but it didn't look too bad, he said! He knew damn well it looked awful, but didn't want me to see it before he installed it because he knew I would tell him not to put it on and therefore he would not get paid! Worse yet, after he left, I called Your Mechanic.com and they were extremely unprofessional and rude! They told me to take it to the body shop and get them to paint the part to match my gray interior! I am thoroughly disgusted with these people and feel that if they would do something like this to the interior of your car, what the hell would they do under your hood! Before finding them I was shopping online and found tons of places to buy the correct color part at a great price. Dan said you could only get the right color @ Toyota and that they were difficult to find? I should have purchased it myself and taken my car to a reputable body shop or had the mechanic at my office put it on. I spent $147.00 to have this ugly ass odd color part put on! I'm certain Dan Barber(mechanic) and the people at Your Mechanic.com wouldn't want to be treated like this!
