Courteous and thorough service helped me to make good decisions regarding my vehicle, especially ffor people who aren't mechanically knowledgeable.
William was a true professional. He was able to accommodate me at an earlier time at my workplace and it was a quick and easy process. This was my first time using YourMechanic and because of the exceptional service William provided, it will not be my last.
Hugo did not perform the 50 Point Inspection. He started the service appointment by photographing the entire vehicle for evidence of cosmetic damage, also photographing vehicle VIN, license plate, odometer reading. When he determined that the problem for which the appointment had been made was a faulty blend door actuator, he indicated that YourMechanic would not approve this particular service for liability reasons, citing concern about working with the glove box and dashboard to access the blend door actuator and possibility that problems may arise in the process. He made it clear that the service could not be performed. He then wanted to know if he should proceed with the 50 Point Inspection. Our response was "No" since he had already diagnosed the problem for which he had been summoned, the blend door actuator problem. Once he submitted his findings (via email) from his "alleged" 50 Point Inspection, it was abundantly clear that he had outright lied about the 50 Point Inspection, and the credit card was billed unjustifiably. The hood of the vehicle was never opened, which would not have enabled him to inspect any engine parts whatsoever, yet he gave favorable evaluations of all engine parts. How would that have been possible without unlatching the hood? Seems like a con job. We are extremely disappointed that our initial experience with YourMechanic resulted in such a negative and disturbing outcome. We would never, ever place our trust in him.
