Luke is polite, personable and communicates well. He called before the appointment to inquire about what I think is the problem. He showed up on time, and did a detailed inspection of the car. He explained to me the problem and replaced the clutch master cylinder efficiently. He is very well organized, and have just about every tool you can think of. He even took the time to cover things up for protection, and cleaned up afterwards. He did a wonderful job, and this has to be one of my best experiences to getting my car fixed. I have no problem recommending Luke to anybody that I know. This is my first time using YourMechanic and I am sold. Thanks, Luke, for the job well done.

I really wanted to like YourMechanic and Luke, but ended up profoundly disappointed. Luke arrived precisely on time, was extremely pleasant, and fixed the car (replaced the driver side window actuator) in less than the estimated time. However as soon as Luke left, I noticed that the passenger side window would now not open, and that the switch that controlled it on the driver side door was jammed. So I essentially traded one broken window for another. I called Luke who replied that the two problems were unrelated (despite the clear similarities and timing), and only when I pressed the issue did he reluctantly say I could schedule a warranty inspection. I called YourMechanic to do this - but the earliest date available was a week later! I was traveling that weekend so was not available. I still have not been able to arrange a warranty inspection. How these warranty inspections work is that you are charged $70 for the inspection, which is refunded if YourMechanic decides the work was faulty. The repair through YourMechanic cost $192, with possible future charges to come, and after weeks I still have not been able to arrange a warranty inspection (so the window is still broken). Local mechanic shops gave me an estimate of $260; given the convenience and the greater certainty of having the additional repairs covered, that is looking like the better deal. I will update this review when I hear back from YourMechanic regarding the warranty inspection.
