Q: Wont go into gear shifter goes in gear but wont caught

asked by on

Wont go into gear...

My car has 133564 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hello.

If your car will not go into gear the first things I would check are the shifter cable, linkage, and bushings. If there is a problem with any of those three components it may prevent the transmission from shifting into gear. I would also check the fluid level, just be sure that it is not low.

I’d suggest getting the vehicle looked at by a qualified technician, such as one YourMechanic, to diagnose your shifting issue and fix it accordingly.
