Q: Wipers work only every once in awhile and sometimes won’t shut off

I’ve got a 91 Chev k2500 the wipers usually won’t turn on but motor makes noise when try to turn them on. Every once in awhile they will work but sometimes can’t shut them off. Sometimes works great. What should I replace?

My car has 157000 miles.
