Q: windshield wiper

asked by on January 16, 2017

On the riders side of my car the windshield wiper does not go up and down. When my brother tried to sync them it will go back and forth 1 time and then go back down again. I believe it is stripped in there. However, the motor works fine the other side works fine (obviously out of sink at the moment so it stays in upright position when I shut them off). Can You please tell me what part I may possibly need for this? I do not know what part to really look for and I do not think I need a whole new assembly. This weird situation happened due to my son taking the wiper off for what ever reason and then loosening the arm so it did not scratch my windshield so now when you try to tighten it up so it will work it only works for 1 or 2 swipes and then back down again.
My car has an automatic transmission.
