Q: will not start unless throttle wide open and dies when you attempt to put it in gear
1990 gmc sierra 5.7l auto trans was running fine then sputtered and died. it will start with gas peddle to floor the idle is high around 2000 rpm but when you put it in drive or reverse it will not run. changed fuel filter no change. unplug idle air control no change
