I have a 2005 Toyota Corolla. Next week, I am taking my car to the muffler shop to delete my resonator and replace the exhaust piping with a custom 2.5 inch piping to go with my aftermarket muffler. So, the result I want to end with is a Corolla with 2.5 inch custom piping welded onto an aftermarket muffler with no resonator. However, I heard that a different size pipe could throw off the check engine light. Is that true? Or will I still be okay to replace the old piping with a custom 2.5 inch piping?
