Q: Why does my truck need new brakes?

asked by on

When do I need new brakes?
My car has an automatic transmission.

Depending on the usage of your brakes you should not need brakes for a couple of years of driving unless you notice a problem while driving. Since this is a 2016 car, you should return it to the dealer for warranty repairs. If you are asking a general question about when to get the brakes replaced, then my answer is to have them checked every 5000 miles when you have the tires rotated or at every oil change. This way you get an idea of how fast they are wearing from your mileage driven.
