Q: Why do my car skip on the number 1 cylinder.

I have in the past 6 months have use 10W 30 motor oil for my car. Around 3 months later I heard 1 valve tick a little loud. I thought there were no oil in it. I check it and found out it was using 1 quart every 3 0r 400 miles. The goes and comes from time to time. When the noise comes it smokes. when it go away it stops. Two days ago my car started skipping on the number one cylinder and now it does not smoke. It not ticking any more. It's only skipping on the number 1 cylinder . I change oil but it get dirty after a week. I now use the recommended oil. ( 0 W 20 ) What do you think it is? And give me your advice. I put in new plugs and checked ignition coil
