How do I use Trip 1 and Trip 2 in the driver information center (DIC)?
The Trip 1 and Trip 2 feature in the driver information center (DIC) allows you to keep track of how many miles your car has traveled since the last trip odometer reset. Accessing Trip 1 and Trip 2 is very...
Car starts, but car won't go into gear
If in fact the headlights and the shifting issue were a result of changing the battery, the only circumstance that I can think of would be a voltage spike. Was the ignition key on when you connected the battery? Did...
Car keeps cranking over when not holding key, but still wont start
It sounds like you have 2 problems here, the starter and an engine stalling problem. The starter problem is probably the starter solenoid, a power switch (integrated into the starter assembly) that takes a small current from the ignition switch...

Hi there. The pedal position sensor on the gas pedal has lost signal for the switch 'E' and 'D'. The code P2138 (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/p2138-obd-ii-trouble-code-throttle-pedal-position-sensor-switch-d-e-voltage-correlation-by-andrew-quinn) means that the computer has discovered a malfunction with the pedal sensor. Check the harness to the...
Yielding right of way when obstructed
My apologies but this scenario would be much easier to understand if you were to indicate the direction of travel for each vehicle such as N, S, W, or E. Also, the outcome of this scenario is likely to be...
I have this code, P0171 I replaced my air filter, MAF sensor and PCV, but the code keeps coming back after erasing it.
This code indicates that the fuel system on bank one is weak or that a vacuum leak exists on that side of the engine. Bank one of the engine is running lean which means that either too little fuel or...
Hood won't open or close
There is a fault with the latch and/or the cable actuator. Hood misalignment, if severe, can cause this issue as well. The whole latch assembly and mechanism should be inspected for damage, cleaned and lubricated to resolve this. If you...
