Q: Where is the MAP sensor on a 2006 Honda Coupe 1.8L?

asked by on July 05, 2017

I took my car to get fixed recently for an IDLE problem. The RPM would drop to 500, causing the car to shake drastically. After shaking, it went back up to around a thousand. This would happen everyday more than once. I was told the downstream Oxygen Sensor was bad and the Throttle Body could be dirty. After the fix, the car was fine, until it begin its current issue. Upon accelerating, the engine, if I can describe it as best as I can, gives out three times till it comes back up and runs normally. The RPM visually drops as the engine gives out. I thought it was the transmission at first, assuming the gears are missing, but I noticed it did it during mid-drive. Now I have the computer telling me it is a bad MAP Sensor.

My car has 145286 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
