Q: When I start driving my car my rpms go up to about 4000 before it drops back do what does this mean? 2006 Ford Fusion

I turn my car on let it warm up. Then I start driving down the road when I get to a little before 20 miles an hour the rpms get up to 4000. Is something wrong?

My car has 156005 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
