Q: When I release the gas to slow down almost to a stop and immediately accelerate It does like is going to shut down
I have a new Nissan Rogue. But when I’m near a stop sign or leaving a parking lot I usually release the gas pedal so that the car slows down and immediately I press the gas again. When I do this the car acts like is going to shut down but it doesn’t so it vibrates down the pedal and I hear a sound like knocking underneath. Is very similar to a manual car when is going to shut down because of the clutch and the gear used when accelerating, such as accelerating from a complete stop with the 2nd gear. It has CVT so I don’t know if it’s normal or if it’s something that needs to be checked out.
My car has an automatic transmission.
