Q: When I put my key in the ignition I cant turn it at all.

asked by on December 04, 2016

I got up and went to work this morning and my car worked just fine. Once I got off today I go to turn my car on and my key wont turn at all. I tried pressing the break down and turning the wheel to see if its locked but that didnt work either. I think my anti-theft system kicked in and locked my ignition because some days it would slightly lock up but then it would turn over. My lock and unlock buttons dont work on my key so I dont know if that has anything to do with it as well. I really need to get my car started. Can you help?

My car has 183000 miles.

Seems like a belt squeal upon cold start and gets louder with acceleration. Stops after the car is warmed.

Hello, i own a bmw 335i n55, AT, recently i replaced the sparkplugs and one coil. Since then i have the code P112f. When start up
This code indicates a manifold absolute pressure to throttle valve angle discrepancy. This means that there is some confusion between the mass airflow sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/mass-airflow-sensor-replacement), the throttle position sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/throttle-position-sensor-replacement), and the manifold absolute pressure sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/manifold-absolute-pressure-sensor-map-sensor-replacement). It is possible...
